Funny Way of Laughin' - guitar chords and comments
Lyrics without distraction HERE
Following "A Little Bitty Tear" from the year before, in 1962 Burl Ives recorded this one, also penned by Hank Cochran. It is similar; pretty close to a copy
It gave name to an album the same year, and the song won the Grammy Award for Best Country & Western Recording at the 5th Annual Grammy Awards in 1963.

I normally don't use D major much, but I've put it up here to play 3 of Ives' bestsellers medley: Little Bitty Tear, Funny Way of Laughin' and Pearly Shells.
